History of the ranch
1880’s: Originally homesteaded by the Schweinharts, German Pig and Dairy farmers.
1910’s: The property was bought by a barber who would take his stage-coach into town once a week to cut the locals hair and grab what groceries he needed and could not grow.
1940’s: A workman at the Morro Bay Stacks purchased the property and dragged an old tool shed up to where the cabin sits today. The skids which were used to bring the building up are still visible on the front porch today.
1980: a young dentist living in San Luis Obispo purchased the property as a place for his 5 growing sons to experience nature and release steam.
2012: the current owners, purchased the property and ...... ???
Accommodations & Event Space:
The Original Tin Misfit Cabin: Sleeps 6 in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with queen sofa bed. Fireplace, full kitchen, wrap around decks with views.
1955 “Alijoa” trailer: sleeps two in a full size bed, dinette, and private deck looking out onto the oaks.
24’ Airstream trailer: sleeps four in a full size and queen bed.
(2) A-Frame Cabins: sleeps two each in rustic and tranquil setting.
Safari Yurt: sleeps four
